Student Ferries & Out-of-AreaBus Pass
Students
If you ride the Washington State Ferries as a walk-on passenger, bike rider, or a passenger in either a carpool or vanpool, you may be eligible to receive up to $60 of subsidy per academic quarter on your ferry pass. For those students who must use either Pierce or Community Transit to get to and from school, you are also eligible to receive up to $60 of subsidy per academic quarter on your transit pass.
In order to receive the subsidy reimbursement, a student must have:
- Enrolled for 10 or more qualified credits during the academic quarter, AND Paid the TMP fee of $10
- AND NOT purchased a Gopass or a parking permit from Seattle Central Community College.
To obtain for the quarterly subsidy, please complete a Student Ferry Subsidy Reimbursement Form and submit to Transportation Services Office along with the following:
- Original receipt showing the price you have paid for your ferry pass or out-of-area bus pass
- Your name and your home address
- Your student ID number
A reimbursement check will be processed and sent to you within two (2) weeks of submission date.
NOTE: The reimbursement is available only to students living in addresses noted as qualified areas (Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish, Bainbridge, etc.) A student may not request a reimbursement for previous quarters. All requests for subsidy reimbursement for the current academic quarter must be submitted by the last day of the quarter.
