Adding and Dropping Classes
After your initial registration you may add courses on a space available basis. You can do this online or on an add / drop form during the first two weeks of the quarter. The instructors signature is required on the form even if the class is not full
Waitlist
The waitlist feature offers students a fair and consistent method of being enrolled in a full class if openings occur. If a class with the waiting list option is full and you choose to be put on the waitlist you will be automatically enrolled into the class when a space becomes available.
You can add or remove your name from a waitlist via the web. Check your schedule frequently, so that you know if you have been removed from the waitlist and registered for your desired course. If you are still on the waitlist the first day of class, take an add / drop form to the class for the instructor to sign.
Once the quarter has begun you must pay the tuition the same day that you register for classes. If you have been put on a waitlist, please check back on a regular basis online to see if you have been put into a class so that you can pay for the class without being dropped. If you are still on the waitlist upon the first day of class you must obtain the instructors permission to enroll on the first day.
Variable Credit Courses
If a class is being offered for a range of credit, for example 1 to 15 credits, web registration will register you for the maximum amount of credits being offered. To change the credit amount click "Change Credits" after registering.
Official Withdrawal
You cannot officially drop a class by simply informing the instructor you are withdrawing or by ceasing to attend the class. An add / drop form must be processed through the Registrars Office. A W will appear on your transcript for classes from which you have withdrawn. After the 8th week of classes withdrawals are not permitted. You must meet with the instructor to discuss the option of taking and Incomplete I or No Credit 0.
Enrollment Verification
Students can get enrollment verification in Room BE 1104 for academic, Social Security, insurance, or other purposes. Twelve or more credits per quarter are considered fulltime. In order to be verified as enrolled, tuition and fees must be paid. Students can leave their forms or request a letter at the front counter in registration, which will be available for pickup after 48 hours.
e-Cashier Availability
Availability of e-Cashier is determined by Seattle Centrals registration calendar. Please be aware the college may elect not to have e-Cashier available during specific times and dates during registration.
Please do not assume your balance will automatically be adjusted if financial aid is received or a class is dropped or added. You should review your agreement balance online through My Nelnet Account or call the Seattle Central Cashier Office at (206) 934-3882 to confirm the change.
