Media Equipment
The library's Media Services staff coordinate the use of the following equipment to support student learning. Note: Some equipment cannot be checked out by students. Students must make arrangements with their instructor to check out equipment for classroom use.
- DVD Video Projectors
- TV/DVD/VHS Monitors
- VHS Camcorders
- Digital Still Cameras
- Digital Video Cameras (requires a Mini DVD-RW; this is the only format that works)
- Laptop Computers (some with projectors)
- Notebook PCs
- i>Clickers - Audience Response System
- ELMO Digital Visual Presenters (project just about anything)
Media staff also duplicate course CDs for students and manage the Media Reserves collection.
Because Media Services is closed on Saturdays, students must make prior arrangements with media staff to check out equipment. The exception is notebook PCs which may be checked out for in-library use whenever the library is open.
Media Collection
The library has an extensive collection of videos and sound recordings. Find titles in the library catalog, which allows for searches by format, subject, and location.
Instructors are the only individuals authorized to check out videos from the Media Reference and Media Reserves collections for viewing outside the library.
