High School Student

Not yet 18 or older?

Anyone who is 18 or older, or is a high school graduate, may attend Seattle Central Community College.

If you are under 18 or have not earned a high school diploma, some special arrangements can be made.

Running Start is a program for high school students that allows students to take classes at Seattle Central and earn both high school and college credit. To participate in Running Start, see your school counselor For more information, visit the Running Start website: www.seattlecentral.edu/runstart
Tech Prep - if you are currently in high school, ask your counselor about Tech Prep, a technical program that will prepare you for high-demand jobs. It enables you to get community college credit for approved high school classes, then continue on to the professional/technical education program of your choice in the Seattle Community Colleges. You may enter the program as early as the ninth grade.

High School Completion Program - Earn your high school diploma at Seattle Central.

To enroll in our high school completion program:

  1. Complete the Seattle Central admissions process
  2. Submit your official high school transcript(s). They will be evaluated to determine how many high school credits you already have.
