- WHAT IS THIS DEGREE?
The Bachelor of Applied Behavioral Science is designed specifically for people in the human services professions who want to continue their education in social and human services, child and family studies, chemical dependency, family support services, and interpreting/translations fields. Our program provides comprehensive preparation for direct service practitioners. Students will develop skills in professional and ethical practice, public policy analysis, applied social psychology, cross-cultural competency, quantitative research, program assessment, and economic and political systems. Graduates of this program will be able to work in different fields of practice and qualify for a variety of graduate school programs.
- WHAT ARE THE PRE-REQUISITES FOR THE DEGREE?
Applicants for admission to the Bachelors degree program must have completed an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) two-year degree in human services services, chemical dependency, child and family studies or interpreting/translation. To review pre-requisites please refer to

- WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THIS DEGREE?
Graduation from the Bachelors degree program requires 180 credits. Students will take 60 credits of upper division Applied Behavioral Science classes, including 10 credits of supervised field placement. All classes will be in the evenings. Up to 120 lower division and human services credits will be eligible for transfer into the program.
- WHERE AND WHEN WILL CLASSES BE HELD?
All Bachelors degree classes will be held in the evenings at Seattle Central Community College on Capitol Hill.
- IS FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE?

Fall Quarter 2012 ABS Admissions Priority Deadline is April 30th, 2012.
